Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Mechanical Coil Trainee

We’re seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as Mechanical Coiler Trainees

Mechanical Coil Trainee Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$17.50 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

Assist in setting up and operating mechanical spring coiling machines
Basic setup operations to produce compression, extension, and torsion springs.
Measure spring components using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Perform first-piece inspections and record production data
Support basic machine maintenance and tool changes under supervision

Mechanical Coil Trainee Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and work in a fast paced enviroment
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 75 lbs
Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience is required

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
