Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Warehouse Worker Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$16.25 /hour
Full Time work available
Various shifts available (Monday through Friday)

Associates will accurately and efficiently assemble and package scented products according to specifications, ensuring proper wrapping, sealing, and cushioning.
Monitor packaging material inventory, ensuring adequate supplies are available and reporting any shortages to supervisors.
Accurately complete and maintain production logs, reports, and other required documentation.

Warehouse Worker Qualifications:

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Physical stamina and ability to stand, lift, and move packages (up to 35lbs) for extended periods.
Positions are often fast-paced and involve packaging, receiving, sorting, and preparing items for shipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
