Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Material Handler

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Department Associate. This role is responsible for daily shipping, receiving, inventory functions, and material handling across departments. Must be able to work independently, and is comfortable operating forklifts.

Material Handler Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$17.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:30am to 03:00pm)

Pack and ship crates and aftermarket part orders
Load and unload trucks
Deliver materials to Hoist Mount and Build Departments
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
Coordinate with team members to ensure timely workflow

Material Handler Qualifications:

Previous experience in shipping and receiving
Forklift operation experience required
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Able to lift up to 70 lbs
Able to stand, walk, and be on feet for long periods
Must be able to climb on and off trucks throughout the day

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
