Construction Site Watchman Details:
Temporary position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to03:30pm )
Duties:
- Monitor and patrol the construction site regularly during assigned shifts (especially nights, weekends, and holidays)Secure gates, doors, fences, and equipment to prevent unauthorized entry or theft
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions
- Respond to alarms or disturbances and contact appropriate emergency personnel if needed
- Keep accurate logbooks of patrols, incidents, and daily activity
- Check that safety measures are in place (e.g., no exposed wires, flammable material storage, etc.)
- Operate surveillance equipment, if available
- Maintain clear communication with site managers or security supervisors
Construction Site Watchman Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in security or construction site watch preferred
- Ability to remain alert and responsive during night shifts or extended periods
- Good observation and communication skills
- Physically fit; able to walk, stand, or patrol for extended periods
- Basic understanding of site safety and emergency procedures
- Must pass background check
- Security guard license or certification (if required by local law)
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
