Journeyman Lineman


We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain, and repair electrical power systems. This role involves working with high-voltage lines, both overhead and underground, and requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and technical excellence.

Journeyman Lineman Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $40.00 to $60.00 /hour
  • First Shift (Sunday through Sunday from 12:00am to 12:00pm)
  • Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems.
  • Install and replace transformers, insulators, switches, conductors, and other electrical components.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, backhoes, and trenchers.
  • Inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to identify faults or hazards.
  • Respond to outages and emergency call-outs, often in adverse weather conditions.
  • Perform rigging and climbing duties on poles and towers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards.
  • Train and mentor apprentice linemen and assist in their development.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Journeyman Lineman Qualifications:

  • Completion of a certified lineman apprenticeship program.
  • Proven experience in line work, preferably with a utility or contractor.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory and safety practices.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • NFPA 70E - Classroom training and hands on.
  • Power line Journeyman license (TDLR if Texas)
  • DOT Number
  • Aerial lift (Bucket truck training/certification)
  • H2S training certificate or copies or card
  • PEC or Basin United wither one.
