Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Assembly Operator Details:

Temporary position
$21.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Thursday from 02:15pm to 12:45am)

Training on 1st shift for 5 weeks.
Assemble medical device components and products according to detailed work instructions, specifications, and FDA regulations
Operate specialized medical device assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently
Perform visual inspections and quality checks on assembled medical products, ensuring compliance with stringent medical standards
Maintain a clean room environment, adhering to strict cleanliness and contamination control protocols

Assembly Operator Qualifications:

Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
Must be available for possible overtime
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods
Excellent near vision (with or without correction) for detailed medical device assembly work

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
