Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a focus on safety, and prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting. This position requires reliable attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must provide their own PPE and hold a valid forklift certification.

Forklift Operator Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$18.50 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

Operate forklifts such as sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack to move materials.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Stage and organize products for shipment or warehouse storage.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Assist with general warehouse operations when needed.

Forklift Operator Qualifications:

Valid and current forklift certification is required.
Must provide own PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
At least 1 year of recent forklift experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
