Laser Operator - 3rd Shift Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 to $ 21.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Third Shift ( 11:00pm to07:00am )
- PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines
- Load materials (usually sheet metal)
- Install correct lenses, nozzles, and cutting parameters
- Perform daily machine checks and warm-ups
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and job travelers
- Understand cutting paths, tolerances, and material requirements
- Adjust machine settings and optimize cut quality
- Identify and resolve cutting issues (e.g., burrs, incomplete cuts)
- Monitor and inspect parts during and after cutting
- Use tools like calipers, micrometers, or height gauges
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and cosmetic specs
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting
- Clean lenses, check assist gas levels, replace worn components
- Alert maintenance if more serious repairs are needed
Laser Operator - 3rd Shift Qualifications:
- Understanding of: Cutting parameters (speed, power, gas types, etc.)
- Material nesting and cutting optimization
- Machine maintenance routines (cleaning lenses, changing nozzles)
- Ability to: Stand for long periods Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in a noisy or fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for inspecting parts and minimizing scrap
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
