Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.00 to $ 29.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
We are seeking a Experienced In-House Construction Utility Project Estimator to join our client's team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for underground construction supply projects. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of civil and utility construction methods, can interpret project plans and specifications, and is comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced office environment.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other project documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and client quotes.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs using digital takeoff software
- Prepare and present bid proposals
- Update and maintain unit price databases and historical cost records.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, RFIs, and scope clarification sessions.
- Ensure all estimates comply with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Experienced Project Estimator Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience estimating utility or civil construction projects (public or private sector).
- Proficiency with estimating software
- Familiarity with plan reading, CAD drawings, and digital takeoff tools.
- Strong knowledge of utility construction processes and materials.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
