Immediate need, for experienced mill workers for a locally owned, growing sawmill in Eugene. Swing shift, Wed-Sun 3:30pm-1:00am, excellent pay, apply today and interview this week.

Fire Watch and Clean Up Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.20 to $ 27.20 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Wednesday throughSunday from 03:30am to01:00pm )
- Monitor hot work areas (welding, grinding, cutting) for fire hazards
- Water down critical areas to prevent ignition of sawdust or other combustible materials
- Clear or shield flammable materials before work begins
- Remain on site during and after hot work to watch for fire risks
- Maintain fire safety tools and report issues to supervisors
- Clean basement areas of dust and debris during production (without entering active zones)
- Clean upstairs areas during breaks, focusing on drive chains and chain returns
- After each shift, thoroughly clean equipment zones (Barker, Head Rig, Edger, Trimmer, Resaw)
- Ensure all wood debris is cleared and placed on conveyors before shift end
Fire Watch and Clean Up Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of sawmill operations and safety protocols
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or in a team
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts if needed
- Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty, and physically demanding environment
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
