Wildfire Housing Counselor Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
22.91 to $ 30.32 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Provide clear, empathetic guidance on housing options, budgeting, credit, and related issues.
- Evaluate financial situations including income, expenses, and credit profiles.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely data entry into required systems.
- Perform outreach and build partnerships with local realtors, lenders, and service organizations.
- Assist clients with collecting documents and submitting applications; manage case files.
- Support reporting, compliance, and administrative tasks in coordination with program leadership.
- Organize and facilitate educational workshops for clients and housing professionals.
- Collaborate with internal departments to connect clients with additional resources as needed.
Wildfire Housing Counselor Qualifications:
- Strong belief in helping others access basic needs and long-term stability.
- At least 2 years of experience in client services, case management, or customer support.
- Excellent communication, organization, and data management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain Housing Counselor certification within 6–9 months (training provided).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience in housing counseling, finance, or real estate is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
