Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinist Programmer Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
38.00 to $ 45.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to04:30pm )
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences.
- Program, set up, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes using CAM software (Mastercam, NX, etc.).
- Create and document efficient machine setups and fixture designs.
- Translate engineering data into optimized machining strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining and programming issues.
- Fabricate parts or tooling as needed.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure successful part execution.
- Optimize programs for accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in tooling, workflow and training.
Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinist Programmer Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 10+ years of CNC machining experience, including 5-axis programming.
- Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, GibbsCAM).
- Strong understanding of G-code, post-processing, and 5-axis machining centers.
- Skilled in GD&T and interpreting complex technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently from CAD models and blueprints.
- Aerospace or high-precision machining experience required.
- Proven ability to resolve technical machining challenges.
- Able to operate and set up a variety of manual machines as needed.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
