Steel Yard Material Handler Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to03:30pm )
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move steel products safely and efficiently
- Load and unload flatbed trucks with precision and care
- Assist with Will Call pickups between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Manually lift materials up to 50 lbs. when necessary
- Use a tape measure to verify material dimensions and ensure accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Steel Yard Material Handler Qualifications:
- Forklift experience preferred – we offer in-house training and certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. manually – while machinery is available, there may be times when it is not accessible
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Must have reliable transportation to ensure a manageable commute
- Strong attendance record and job tenure in previous roles is highly valued
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
