Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent/Assistant Property Manager to join our clients growing team at one of the areas fast growing residential communities.

Assistant Property Manager Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$19.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:30pm)

Support the Property Manager in daily operations and staff coordination
Greet prospective residents, answer inquiries, and conduct property tours.
Process rental applications, screen applicants, and prepare lease agreements.
Maintain occupancy goals through proactive marketing and resident retention strategies..
Maintain accurate resident files and documentation in compliance with LIHTC regulations.
Coordinate with vendors, maintenance teams, and contractors as needed.
Respond to resident concerns and enforce community policies.

Assistant Property Manager Qualifications:

1-2 experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs
Previous experience as a leasing agent, assistant manager, or similar property management role.
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance guidelines.
Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar).
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in real estate, business, or related field is a plus.
