Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Temporary position
$18.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Returns/Cut & Dump Associate to join our distribution center team. This temporary, full-time role involves processing damaged materials, rebuilding pallets, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position requires stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding setting.

Returns/Cut & Dump Qualifications:

Process Damaged Materials: Inspect, cut open, and dump contents from compromised bags into designated containers for "reblend" processing.
Rebuild Pallets: Transfer undamaged bags onto new pallets to prepare for redistribution.
Material Handling: Safely move pallets using provided equipment (training available if needed).
Maintain Workspace: Ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and free of hazards in a fast-paced, dusty environment.
Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all PPE requirements, OSHA guidelines, and company safety policies.

Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
