Cloud Security & Compliance Manager Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
80.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
• Seeking a skilled Cloud Security and Compliance Manager to oversee our AWS infrastructure security and ensure compliance with SOC 2 and HIPAA regulations.
• This role combines technical expertise in AWS security with compliance management responsibilities.
• Develop and implement security strategies for our AWS-based infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and HIPAA regulations in our cloud environment.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits of AWS resources.
• Implement and manage security controls across our AWS services.
• Provision and configure AWS resources securely using best practices.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for cloud operations.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents in the AWS environment.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline.
• Manage identity and access controls for AWS services.
• Implement and maintain data encryption and protection measures.
• Manage relationship between us and the company we outsource some IT operations to oversee third party risk management program.
• Maintain compliance calendar
Cloud Security & Compliance Manager Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field and 5+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably with AWS and in-depth knowledge of AWS security services and best practices
• Strong understanding of SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance requirements
• Experience with security automation and infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and practices
• Proficiency in AWS security services (e.g., IAM, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty)
• Experience with network security and firewall configuration in AWS
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and key management
• Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks and standards
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
