Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Procurement Specialist Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$20.00 to $25.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 05:00pm)

• Manage the procurement of materials, tools, and supplies

• Work closely with vendors, production and inventory teams to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of high-quality materials

• Request quotes, evaluate supplier bids, and negotiate pricing, lead times and terms

• Issue purchase orders and monitor open orders to ensure timely delivery

• Track inventory levels and collaborate with production planning to avoid shortages or overstock

• Coordinate with receiving and accounting to resolve discrepancies /invoice issues

• Maintain purchasing records in ERP/Inventory management systems

Procurement Specialist Qualifications:

Experience with lean manufacturing
Prioritizing tasks efficiently
Following OSHA regulations
Must work first shift

Applicant may be subject to a background check
Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
