Purchasing Coordinator Details:

  • Temporary position
  • $25.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Minimum 10 week assignment.
  • Manage and monitor company inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the purchasing department.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to procure materials required for maintenance projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and wholesalers.
  • Prepare and submit competitive quotes for parts and equipment for management approval.
  • Create, update, and track purchase orders within the procurement system.
  • Proactively follow up on overdue orders and delayed deliveries to prevent backorders.
  • Conduct vendor research and gather pricing, specifications, and other relevant product information.
  • Ensure accurate and organized recordkeeping for all purchasing activities.
  • Perform additional duties as required in support of departmental operations.

Purchasing Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment, with a preference for maintenance-related procurement.
  • Skilled in receiving goods, verifying shipments, and processing purchase order approvals.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent professional communication skills with a positive, approachable demeanor.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a dedication to continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
