Industrial Maintenance Technician Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
31.00 to $ 35.00 / annually First Shift
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on plastic injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of injection molding machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify and resolve potential issues before they lead to equipment failure.
- Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment such as conveyors, material handling systems, and cooling towers.
- Collaborate with production operators to understand equipment issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Source and procure spare parts and materials necessary for maintenance activities, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in industrial maintenance to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a plastic injection molding facility.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with injection molding machines (e.g., Engel, Nissei, Arburg, or similar brands) and related auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine manuals.
- Familiarity with PLCs and basic programming/editing (Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
