Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Are you passionate about hands-on work and skilled in fixing and maintaining forklifts and other industrial equipment? We're looking for a Material Handling Service Technician to join our team!

Pay: $22-$30/hour (DOE)

Material Handling Service Technician Details:

Temp-to-Hire position
$22.00 to $30.00 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00pm)

Check for wear, damage, and fluid levels (oil, hydraulic, coolant).
Inspect battery and electrical components (lights, horn).
Inspect and maintain tire condition and inflation.
Ensure brakes are working properly, check fluid levels.
Lubricate moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
Check for leaks and ensure proper fluid levels.
Check engine, fuel system, and transmission for issues.
Clean forklift to prevent dirt buildup.
Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
Document all maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Material Handling Service Technician Qualifications:

Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing forklifts or similar equipment is required.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics is required.
