Assistant Machine Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.59 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Various shifts available
Shift- 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
Position Overview: The Assistant Operator is responsible for operating machinery as part of a dedicated team, working together to produce high-quality finished goods in line with customer specifications and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Focus: Dedicate yourself to upholding our clients Quality Policy, ensuring our products and services consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment within specified parameters to maintain efficient operations.
- Quality Control: Vigilantly monitor raw materials, product, and equipment to identify defects or deviations, taking proactive measures to address issues.
- Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections to guarantee safe, high-quality, and productive operations.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by supporting site-safety audits and complying with safety protocols.
- Teamwork: Foster a positive and constructive team culture, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production goals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed production records and monitor product quality against established control charts.
- Workplace Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean and orderly throughout your shift, promoting a safe and organized workspace.
Assistant Machine Operator Qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, with a preference for candidates familiar with carding, needle punch, and/or textile processes.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills are a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and Microsoft Office, are desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to being a valuable team player.
- Physical capabilities: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, stand for extended periods, and engage in activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching.
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
