Shear Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
19.00 to $ 22.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughSaturday from 05:00am to02:00pm )
- Set up and operate mechanical or hydraulic shear machines.
- Cut sheet metal to required sizes based on work orders and drawings. Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and job specifications.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and tolerance standards.
- Keep work area clean and organized. Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Shear Operator Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a shear or similar metal cutting equipment
- ability to read blueprints and job specifications
- Strong measuring and math skills, experience working with sheet metal
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift, carry and handle metal materials
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
