Production positions in Southern Indiana, primarily at the Cummins Midrange Engine Plant (CMEP) which manufactures the Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel engine, Fuel Systems Plant (FSP) where unit injector & common rail systems are produced, & the Columbus Engine Plant (CEP) which machines engine blocks & builds batteries for electric powered vehicles.

PAY RATES! $19.00/hour on 1st shift & $19.50/hour on 2nd & 3rd.
Your skills are needed at Cummins for entry-level Production positions in Assembly, Machining, & Material Handling. These contract positions include the opportunity for direct hire consideration.
Elwood associates working at Cummins, earn 4 days of PAID time off & DOUBLE TIME after 48 hours in a week.
Cummins Production Associate Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
19.00 to $ 19.50 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Various shifts available ( Monday throughFriday )
No experience is necessary, but mechanical inclination or light industrial experience is helpful.
Openings primarily on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Openings rarely on 1st shift. Please be open to shift. Job duties include:
- Using hand tools & power tools to assemble parts & engine components
- Loading, running, & unloading CNC machines
- Performing machine set-ups & tool changes
- Delivering parts to & from lines
- Performing inspections
- Other assembly, machining, material handling, or light industrial tasks
Cummins Production Associate Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be a driven individual serious about taking their career to the next level
- Must exhibit excellent reliability & longevity in previous work history
- Pass client-specific prerequisite testing
- Strong work ethic & solid attendance are required
- Mechanically inclined individuals
- Experience with machine operation, production, assembly, forklift, & CNC is desired
- Flexible to work 2nd or 3rd shift
- Able to fluently speak, read & write in English
- Resumes & Cummins specific interview required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
