Starting pay $18hr. up to $19hr after 60 days at $20hr+ once hired on full time

Entry Level Carpenter Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
18.00 / hour First Shift
- Performs routine and general carpentry maintenance on such items as stairs, walkways, decks, carports, walls, fences, signs, and trellis.
- Responds to resident work requests for general maintenance or repairs as instructed.
- Removes, cleans, and replaces gutters, siding, and fascia boards.
- Makes permanent or temporary repairs to roofs, both flat and shingle.
- This includes the ability to make detail repairs to flashing, caulk window leaks, and bull flat deck leaks.
- Erects framework for structures and lays subflooring.
- Installs glass in windows, doors and partitions.
- Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
- Performs painting projects as requested including prep work and cleanup.
- Install items such as window shades, venetian blinds, and curtain rods, ceiling fans, and door locks.
- Constructs forms, pours and finishes concrete.
- Builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, and trim.
Entry Level Carpenter Qualifications:
- Ability to handle all levels of power tools such as circular saw, power gun nailer, compressor, stapler, etc.
- Ability to effectively use manual and power tools while working from a ladder at a height up to thirty (30) feet.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds in the course of daily duties.
- Ability to accurately estimate time and materials required for the performance of all tasks assigned.
- Knowledge of techniques for the proper cleaning, maintenance and repair of power tool equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
