Shift Manager
Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, reliable and detail-oriented person to engage with our employees working at our client's facility. You will also work closely with our client with to non-task related issues with our employees.

General Responsibilities as a Shift Manager will include:

  • Work 4 consecutive days which will include at least one weekend day. Weekday schedule is an early swing shift and weekend is daytime hours shift
  • Monitor daily and weekly attendance of employee using a timekeeping system
  • Participate in orientation of all new employees to ensure all benefits and policies are understood and followed
  • Daily engagement with all employees on the production floor to address any non-task related issues
  • Work with supervisors in regularly scheduled performance reviews and feedback to be sure goals and expectations are met
  • Support any and all recognition and awards program implemented by the On-site Manager
  • Conduct any counseling or disciplinary action as a result of policy violation or performance gaps
  • Exercise independent judgment in guiding the activities of all associates and the associates of any sub-contractor to ensure job performance goals are met or exceeded
  • Create a strong bond with all temporary associates, reinforcing the employer-associate relationship and their commitment to the client
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and comply with them in all work activities
  • Provide Superior Customer Service in all aspects of the job

 

Desired Skills & Experience of a Shift Manager:

  • Able to work the required work schedule that supports our client and employees
  • 1 year of supervisor or lead experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • On-site staffing experience a plus
  • Solid personal computer knowledge and the ability to use essential technology (databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and email) effectively and efficiently
  • Function effectively in a fast-paced, multiple priority, high volume environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
  • High level of self-motivation and sense of urgency
  • Able to communicate effectively and tactfully (both verbally and written) to all levels, both internally and externally
