Safety & Quality Coordinator
This position is responsible for helping to improve the overall safety of the workplace and ensuring quality standards are met. The duties include assessing safety, improving compliance to adhere to safety standards and educating employees. This position will also be involved should a Workers Comp injury arise. This position is also responsible for weekly internal inspections for Wall and Truss as required by Timber Products who perform our external inspections; while continuously working with shop employees to ensure quality of production. The work may include working outdoors during all weather conditions.

Safety & Quality Coordinator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to02:30pm )
- Present safety trainings (toolbox talks) weekly, and log attendance of manufacturing personnel and truck drivers
- Review safety information and protocols with new hires
- Ensure employees consistently follow safety protocols
- Ensure employees are equipped with and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Assist when an employee is injured on the job, this includes making sure incident is documented and passed on to management/HR for timely reporting purposes, as well as helping employee go to the clinic if applicable
- Regularly walk/observe the property/shops making notes of potential safety issues and reporting them
- Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections and annual inspections for fire suppression systems
- Ensure forklift driver and truck driver inspections are completed daily
- This position has the authority to stop an unsafe act and to quarantine and unsafe working area
Safety & Quality Coordinator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- OSHA 10-hour
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
