Structured Cabling Technician

Structured Cabling Technician Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $17.00 to $23.00 /hour
• First Shift

• Installation of and working with fiber and copper cable, related transport equipment, and all critical infrastructures within.
• Installation and troubleshooting of a variety of telecommunications products, including but are not limited to routers, switches, modems, Ethernet, and Ethernet backhaul communications products.
• Install data infrastructure including but not limited to Phone Systems, cabling, and termination of coax, copper, fiber optics, and related materials.
• Setup terminals and racks; install data equipment and label of all installed wiring and equipment.
• Identify hardware problems and work with various vendors to resolve said problems.
• Supports key projects, providing day-to-day updates to Senior Technicians and managers as directed.
• Maintain and have at the ready all necessary equipment and tools to effectively address the needs of your dispatch that will enable you to follow all specifications, codes, and standards.
• Ensure departmental policies and procedures are followed.
• Collaborates with team members, actively participating in discussions toward achieving results.
• Maintain work vehicles - keep clean of debris and clutter, keep organized, document weekly vehicle inspection for minor repairs, safety, and general vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure and maintain a clean driving record.
• Contribute to ensuring a safe and healthful workplace.
