Basic Services

Temporary Associates
These employees fill short term assignments having anticipated end dates.

Long Term Staffing
Many employers use Elwood associates for extended time periods.  The advantages are that Elwood Staffing keeps payroll records, pays all local, state, and federal taxes, pays worker's compensation insurance, pays for holidays and vacations, and submits W-2 forms.  The employer is spared having to worry about these payroll issues.

Temporary to Permanent
Temporary to permanent positions may turn into regular full time jobs when good fits are found between the employee's performance and employer's requirements.

Direct Placement
Some employers ask Elwood Staffing to find specific types of skilled employees for immediate full time employment for an agreed upon placement fee.

Payrolling Services
Problem:
Handling payroll functions reduces the ability of company leaders to focus on their main product or service.

Elwood on Premise Arrangements
When large numbers of temporary associates are assigned to a single company in one location, Elwood Staffing will provide a staff member to work on site to streamline order fulfillment, verify attendance, prepare timesheets, provide management reports, interpret policies, monitor performance, counsel temporary associates and terminate as necessary.

Employee Assessment Centers
Elwood Staffing can handle the entire range of activities required to hire new employees.  These activities may include: preparing and running help wanted ads in newspapers or other media, handling the full range of applicant telephone inquiries concerning employment, scheduling and performing interviews, administering and scoring ability tests, doing drug testing, doing background checks, making written job offers, arranging for physical examinations after job offers have been made, conducting orientation sessions, and handling all correspondence and telephone work associated with decisions to hire or not to hire each applicant.

According to the preferences of your company, these Centers may consist of teams of Elwood Staffing professionals who perform all work on your premises, or all work may be performed on Elwood Staffing premises.  The range and depth of services provided may be fully customized to meet the unique needs of each company.  Authority to make job offers may be partially assigned to Elwood Staffing, or be retained entirely by the company.

Drug Testing
Elwood Staffing provides drug testing for illicit drugs for pre employment, random assessments, post accident, and pre promotion purposes.  Certified outside laboratories are used to confirm positive findings.  Teams from Elwood Staffing can be sent into the field to perform random drug testing for illicit drug usage by current employees of any company whether or not Elwood Staffing associates are assigned to the company.
