Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Employees will be required to build kits that require the correct parts and quantities to be kitted into the correct packaging.

Kitting/ Pick Pack Details:

Temporary position
$11.75 /hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00pm)

Responsible for meeting daily production numbers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Detail-oriented and quality-driven.
Ability to work independently and minimal supervision.
Must be able to stand in one place for an extended period of time.
Additional duties that may be assigned as needed.

Kitting/ Pick Pack Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch and occasionally walk.
Lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to apply common sense understanding and follow written or oral instructions.

Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
