Process Technician- Plastic Injection Molding Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $26.00 to $29.00 /hour
  • Second Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm)

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines, ensuring all subsystems (heaters, water, robotics, etc.) function properly during start-up, shutdown, and job transfers.

• Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain part quality and efficiency; document changes and report significant deviations to engineering or management.

• Resolve production and quality issues, support continuous improvement, and assist in minor tool repairs, insert changes, and mold changes.

• Mentor and support training for Manufacturing Set-Up Technicians and Mold Setters while striving to meet departmental KPIs related to uptime, cycle time, and scrap reduction.

• Follow safety and environmental procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper disposal of hazardous waste, while maintaining clean work areas.


Process Technician- Plastic Injection Molding Qualifications:

• 4-year experience in plastics engineering and 2 or more years related experience or

• 2-year degree in plastics engineering and 8 or more years plastics process engineering experience or equivalent.

• History of constructive continuous improvement ideas and suggestions.

• Experience writing programs for in-house robots- FANUC and ABB.
