On-site Specialist

Elwood Staffing, one of the fastest-growing privately held staffing firms in the U.S., is seeking an experienced staffing professional for our on-site operation. The On-site Specialist be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our onsite program. The On-site Specialist must create a strong bond with our temporary associates, reinforcing the employer-associate relationships. In addition the candidate must be exhibit a strong commitment to developing client relationships. Previous staffing industry or HR is desired.

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:  

• Tracking attendance

• Ensuring all documentation is obtained proving the validity of medical leave, bereavement, jury duty, military leave of absence, or work related injuries

• Conducting orientations for new hires

• Processing payroll

• Monitoring injuries, ensuring associates complete work comp paperwork

• Counseling associates for attendance, performance and safety issues

• Performing investigations based on associate allegations

• Answering telephone

 Desired Skills & Experience:

• Previous staffing industry experience, particularly as a branch or onsite specialist

• Solid personal computer knowledge and ability to use essential technology (databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and email) effectively and efficiently

• Function effectively in a fast-paced, multiple priority, high volume environment

• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

• High level of self-motivation and sense of urgency

• Able to communicate effectively and tactfully (both verbally and written) to all levels, both internally and externally
