IT Technician

We have a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced IT Technician to work in our corporate office in Columbus, Indiana.

The successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years experience in an IT role, and possess the ability to learn new concepts quickly, take initiative, and communicate well with users at all levels across and outside the organization.

Key responsibilities for the IT Technician include:

• Hardware and software set-up and maintenance
• Provide analysis and recommendation for hardware and software acquisitions
• Troubleshoot computer systems and peripheral equipment
• Work with external vendors to support local and wide area networks
• Function as a member of the Help Desk to resolve end-user computer related problems
• Maintain infrastructure (wiring and connections)
• Coordinate backup procedures
• Assist with communication system installations and maintenance

Requirements:

• 3+years experience with computer networks, servers, and PC support
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Ability to deliver superior customer service to internal customers
• Some programming ability a plus
• Able to travel overnight occasionally (approximately 1 night per month); non-overnight travel (Indiana-Kentucky) 2-3 times per week
