The Area Manager directs and controls all activities related to meeting budgeted financial goals for the defined territory. The following are key responsibilities of an Area Manager:
Select, orient, train, develop, coach, and counsel sales and branch management employees, and provide strategic leadership to promote growth within the territory
Determine revenue, gross profit, and net profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new services; analyze trends and results; establish pricing strategies; monitor costs and competition
Maintain relationships with customers by organizing and developing specific customer-relations programs; sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities
5+ years experience in the staffing industry
Previous multi-unit/branch responsibility
A Bachelor's degree in a business discipline is preferred
Able to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Possess "big business vision/small business competence"
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
Able to lead aggressive growth and to help the company move to its next level and beyond
High level of self-motivation and sense of urgency
Self-disciplined and able to function independently
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Communicate effectively and tactfully (both verbally and written) to all levels internally and externally
Ability to understand and analyze basic financial statements (sales reports, P&L)
Personal computer knowledge and ability to use technology essential
